Jiin Lee
Vanderbilt University, in progress
M.S., Cognitive Psychology in Context
Jiin Lee assists with data collection at the NELL lab. She is a master’s student in the Cognitive Psychology in Context program at Vanderbilt University and a Fulbright Scholar. With over 15 years of experience as an elementary teacher in South Korea, and as a teacher, trainer, and lecturer on Public Education TV, Jiin aims to bridge the neuroscience of reading comprehension with classroom practice to advance evidence-based literacy instruction.

Mason Harding
University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, 2024
B.S., Neuroscience, Statistics & Analytics
Mason assists with fMRI analysis and application, mirroring his interests in probabilistic brain models and multimodal source decomposition methods in the human brain. He also contributes to Dr. Catie Chang's Neuroimaging & Brain Dynamics Lab. Aside from his lab activities, Mason enjoys outdoor pursuits with his friends.

Mary M. Bryan
Lipscomb University, 2023
M.S., Psychology
Mary conducts EEG operations, IRB and NIH compliance, participant recruitment, psychometric testing, and RA training at the NELL. In pursuit of Clinical Psychology, she is curious about how literacy, emotion, and mastery affect internalizing disorders. Mary is eager to optimize anything from spreadsheets to storage, and she often (successfully) solicits life stories from participants.

Ashley Jenkins (alumna)
Vanderbilt University, 2025
B.S., Neuroscience, Medicine, Health, & Society
Ashley has faithfully coordinated the NELL's calendar and system operations since its conception. Her role has since expanded into neuroimaging and psychometric testing. As a recent Vanderbilt graduate, she intends to pursue an M.D. with a Neurology specialization. Ashley likes all things culturally Korean, as well as her dogs, Ollie and Millie.
